Pamela Fagan, MA, LCPC
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families in Boise, Idaho. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Boise State University in Psychology. Later, I returned to Boise State University and earned my Master's degree in Counseling. I have specialized training in Adlerian Therapy as well as the Functional Family Therapy model. I have extensive experience treating a wide array of clients with varying emotional and behavioral issues.
My approach to counseling is strength-based and client-centered; my therapy style is warm, caring and accepting. I believe we each possess the ability to gain a deeper understanding of our personal challenges. I also believe we each possess inner resources that can assist us in solving our problems and reaching our personal goals. I respect each person’s unique life experiences, beliefs and values, and integrate these attributes into the therapeutic process. I view individuals as being experts of their own lives; I assist clients in connecting with their “authentic” selves and to take action on the basis of insights developed through the therapeutic experience.
My treatment specialization includes issues relating to blended families; parenting; relationships; depression; anxiety; lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender (LGBT); grief and loss; trauma and substance abuse disorders. Blending conventional and alternative approaches, I draw on mindfulness practice in combination with cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and Adlerian therapy techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client.
My office is professional and comfortable. It is easily accessible and conveniently located. I offer evening and weekend appointments to accommodate my clients’ busy schedules.
